18) Finding him

18) Falling in Love...

So Mr Amazing hasn't appeared just yet in 2012 so I have been taking some proactive steps to increase my odds of finding him. I thought, Alison, this is easy, just go where men like to hang out...and then it occured to me: Men LOVE to wash their cars. ALL THE TIME. They love it! Must be something about the powerful hoses but anyways, GENIUS!

So I've been creeping at our local carwash. Best $2 you can spend to vacc the interior whilst strategically placing your car for best vantage point to view the men washing their cars.

THe only thing wrong with the plot, it why would I need to actually engage with these hotties while they are washing? "Um, hey there, nice car?" "So you car is shiny?". Perhaps I'll just have to resort to short shorts, my small talk sure wasn't winning any Pultzer prizes that's for sure. :)

1) It's all in the hips!

Samba shimmy and shake!

With my beautiful friend Alyssa in tow, we decided to do something different and signed up to Samba classes in South Yarra. It's fair to say after our first lesson we were hooked, line and sinker.

Why did we love it so much? Was it the fact we got to shake out butts erratically (well meant to be sexy but I look a little more like I'm have an epileptic fit in my uterus) for an hour? Was it our absolutely gorgeous and inspirational teacher Lia? I think it was both of these things combined with the promise of sparkly g-bangers and feathery headpeices. Our inner Victoria Secret angel emerged and we haven't stopped shaking our little butts since we started!

For anyone who is interested in Samba, contact Lia (http://www.studiosamba.com.au/). I cannot reccomend it enough :)

Let's get this started!

Ok friends,

Here is the downlow: As the terrifying milestone of 30 is hurtling towards me at rapid speed, I got to a-thinking and decided to make 2012 a memorable one (for the right reasons this time!).

Now just to reflect 2011 definately had it's ahem' challenges, too many tears over a total douchebag, too much wine and a few career changes for good measure.

And let's be honest, I was getting a little toooooo acustomed to sitting on the couch or tucking into bed with law and order on my iPad which was never going to make for a memorable year!

* My friends will know I'm pretty close to ol Liz Lemon above! Do love me an early night!

So it's not totally my idea, I stole it of the internet somewhere but I'm going to have a list of 30 things positive and exciting things I want to do by the time I turn 30.
